European Union

When most Americans think about the European Union, they think about the Euro – until now. We partnered with the EU Delegation to the United States to change the public’s perception of who they are and what they do. Through social media, we highlighted the organization’s critical work and commitment to peace and prosperity across the globe.

OPTIMIZE SOCIALLY

The EU's social media presence did not reflect their story or engage their audience. We used bold, stunning images to incorporate culture and bring the delegations' Facebook and Twitter pages to life.

BUILD AWARENESS VISUALLY

The key to increasing awareness is through highly shareable, easily digestible content. We designed and developed an infographic to share the EU's story visually &- across all channels.

INCREASE FANS THROUGH SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT

At the core of our content strategy was a strong engagement plan. Each post was part of a larger story - yet, strong enough to tell its own story when viewed alone. We used a combination of compelling content and imagery to encourage likes, shares and clicks. By promoting posts that engaged the EU's fans, these fans transformed into brand advocates without even knowing it. How? They shared our content with their own circles, doubling the EU's number of fans every six months.

CONNECT EMOTIONALLY

To connect with fans on an emotional level, we launched a European Vacation Photo Contest. Through a combination of timely organic posts, Facebook ads and promoted Tweets, this contest drove traffic and hundreds of entries.

DEVELOP INTEGRATED CAMPAIGNS THAT EXTEND BEYOND THE DIGITAL SCREEN

Never underestimate the power of interpersonal communication. We incorporated offline tactics into our digital campaigns, creating an interactive experience for the EU's fans. At an EU Open House, attendees were photographed while answering the question, "What do you love about Europe?" These photos were posted on the EU's Facebook page and fans were encouraged to vote on their favorites.
