While we cannot know for sure the specific details of each client's design until we complete the strategy phase, we approach every project with a few key guideposts:
Respect Users
Visitors come to a site with a clear purpose; therefore, our design must enhance their ability to achieve it. We have several means to this end: organizing content by user types and goals, using clear labels and navigation, creating an appropriate hierarchy to information, and highlighting key messages and links.
Make an Impact
Designing a user-friendly site does not mean making it ordinary. On the contrary, our goal will be to create a site that leaves the visitors with a lasting visual impression and fully engages them in the site. We often spend hours in research to find the appropriate images that will resonate with users.
Represent the Brand
We define brand name as much more than just a logo; a brand is the underlying personality and tone that defines what an organization stands for and hopes to achieve. Through the use of language, imagery and color, we can quickly shape the visitors perception of your organization.
Be Clear and Concise
By their nature, websites have a tendency toward information clutter. Therefore, we must offer clean designs that provide visual cues that guide visitors to the information they seek. We must also be mindful that people have difficulty reading large amounts of text on screen. As such, we adapt content to be more user-friendly by using bullet points, bold headlines and hyperlinks appropriately.
Remember Compatibility
A great design is meaningless if it doesn’t appear properly to all website visitors. The issue is complex since websites must work across different browsers, computer platforms and monitor sizes. Therefore, we carefully test to make sure that what we see on our screens is what your visitors see as well. |
