When Emily was in fourth grade, she spent her afternoons writing short stories. To her dismay, her writing never ended up on the bestsellers list, but it was very popular amongst her parents. Undeterred, Emily majored in English at Clemson University and discovered she could still make a living through her pen. Well, keyboard. She threw herself into digital media, excited to explore the written word in the digital realm.
Emily is a communication and digital marketing whiz. Her pandemic hobby was basic coding and website creation, which came in handy while writing, editing and managing posts for one of Clemson University’s blogs. She also
explored her other passion: voting. She created voter engagement content and played a key role in developing a campus-wide marketing strategy.
Emily creates accessible content and captivating stories. She believes audience engagement is essential to business success. After seven years in the service industry, she’s a vocal proponent of quality customer service—and 20 percent gratuity.
In her free time, you can find Emily at home trying out a new bread recipe or out on a hike. She enjoys being slightly lost in the woods and sincerely lost in a good book. If you ever hunger for a book suggestion, look no further.
