Have you ever opened a Swiss Army Knife and said to yourself, “Wow. This can do THAT? Is there anything this CAN’T do?” Well, Jameel is a Swiss Army Knife – in a slightly less dangerous and more human form.
A pioneer developer, Jameel built his first website in Notepad in Windows 3.1 – predating the creation of CSS. He’s since become a dynamic digital master, garnering more than 15 years of experience in web design, graphic design, user experience, branding, marketing and photojournalism. Not to mention, Jameel co-founded three startups, operates a freelance business, and served eight years in the Air Force and Air National Guard.
Returning to federal service, Jameel spent four years running the print and graphics department for the Defense Intelligence Agency. He also created and managed the social media presence for the National Guard Bureau (the parent organization for the entire Army and Air National Guard).
Sticking with the intelligence community theme, Jameel’s previous front-end development clients include: the CIA, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), the Department of Defense, Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA), and the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE).
Today, Jameel enjoys applying his skills to web development projects beyond the realm of the public sector. He also enjoys spending time with his twin toddlers, rooting for the Cardinals, and cooking authentic Lebanese food.
