Sending some <3 on National Nonprofit Day
Partnering with nonprofits is some of the most rewarding work we do at Interactive Strategies. Today we celebrate National Nonprofit Day by recognizing a few of our mission-led, passion-driven clients. Their work inspires us, giving us more reasons to feel optimistic about the future.
Savings lives all day, every day: One of the biggest disaster relief organizations, the American Red Cross responds to an emergency every 8 minutes. 90% of their work is actually focused on connecting victims of home fires with food, water, and shelter.
Fighting a cruel, misunderstood disease: The Lupus Foundation of America is the leading research engine for combating and curing lupus: they’ve driven every milestone in lupus research. The Foundation is also the go-to resource for patients looking for support, answers and hope.
Championing people with intellectual disabilities: 2018 marked the 50th anniversary of Special Olympics, but sports are just part of the story. The organization’s work in advocacy, health care and social justice has been life-changing for people with intellectual disabilities.
Protecting precious lands in precarious times: The Wilderness Society legally defends 110 million acres of wildlands threatened by mining and drilling. The Wilderness Society was responsible for the Public Lands Omnibus Act of 2009, one of the largest expansions of the Wilderness System in recent history.
Last year, Interactive Strategies donated over $45,000 in services to clients like these to help further their missions. Today’s the perfect day to think about re-engaging with your favorite nonprofit, as a way to thank them for the good work they do to make the world better.
