Boulder Crest Foundation

Showcasing expertise through a streamlined digital home

When you're working to shift a national conversation, your digital presence needs to tell one clear story.

Boulder Crest Foundation is leading a national movement to shift the conversation from post-traumatic stress disorder to Posttraumatic Growth (PTG), helping their audience of military members, veterans, first responders, and their families transform their struggles into strength.  Despite a strong, unified mission, their digital presence was fragmented across multiple websites, making it difficult for audiences to navigate their programs, access their expertise, and understand the full scope of their impact.

We partnered with Boulder Crest to create a unified digital destination that brings their mission, expertise, and programs together to make PTG easier to discover, understand, and access.

The focus

Boulder Crest had the research, the experts, the programs, and the proof. What they needed was a digital home that could carry all of it and make Posttraumatic Growth findable, understandable, and unmistakably theirs.

Our strategy

We started where authority was already established: in their people and their research. From there, we built outward.

Establishing authority. Boulder Crest's network of experts is leading critical PTG research in the field, but their authority was scattered. Through a content strategy, we pulled their media spots, podcast interviews, book publications, and academic research into the new experience to showcase their authority and help shape a new conversation.

Unifying the brand. Their well-trafficked secondary site, Struggle Well, lived separately from the foundation’s main hub, splitting up the brand story. We absorbed that site into the new information architecture, ensuring that every visitor now meets one brand, one story, and one source of authority on PTG.

Streamlining user experience. We rebuilt the navigation to recognize the diverse needs of those visiting the site and better align with how audiences search for programs and resources. The new “Find a Program Path” navigation easily guides each visitor to the program built for their unique situation. Additionally, we built and implemented a multistep form to support the application processes for Boulder Crest’s most critical programs.

Enabling impactful storytelling. We built flexible tools for video testimonials, quotes, and original imagery, so the people who have gone through Boulder Crest’s training programs can support the foundation and tell their stories firsthand.
